This insults my Sudoku abilities.

First off, it was way too easy. Second of all, I reached a point where only 4 blank boxes remained, shared by two rows, two columns and two boxes. Each incomplete row, column and box was lacking a 4 and a 9. That meant that I could (theoretically) fill in the numbers as follows (ignore periods):

4.9
9.4

or

9.4
4.9

Both permutations would be correct, because the use of either would complete the puzzle with the numbers 1-9 in every row, column and box. So I put one in, and it was determined to be incorrect. I put the other one in, and it was correct. So I realized that this game is not programmed to detect repeat numbers in any particular row, column, or box, but instead looked to see if numbers matched a single solution, even though that particular solution was not the only correct one.
There are a couple other things I do not like about this game, but I'm getting tired. Trust me, it's an affront on all serious Sudoku players.

Awesome game.

I'd expect nothing less from professionals such as yourselves. Too often is this place reeking with the stench of noob. You sure you're not too good for this portal?

thanks man, much appreciated.

I remember playing something like this.

Of course, the style was as about as generic as Minesweeper. So kudos to giving the game some flair. The extra obstacles add some challenge as well. You should probably add a high score table, though, because we need something to shoot for.

Good, but...

I'm not happy with the interface as it stands. The most obvious improvement you could make is making all speed adjustments temporary. But more relevantly, the ship should be controlled not with the keyboard, but the mouse. The ship should home in on the current x-coordinate of the mouse, but not cling to it. In other words, it will follow after the mouse, limited by its current speed capability. I suggest the mouse over the keyboard because the speed-up powerups can actually become detrimental to the player, because the ship can eventually become nigh uncontrollable. With the mouse, it would be easy to control the ship, no matter what speed it was moving at.

afrodave responds:

How about no. What you're trying to do is suggest that I change the entire game. You're just whining because the speed-downs make it "harder" to play the game. Put on your diapers and go whine about it somewhere else.

:-(

I doubt that even the most hardcore of Luigi fans will be able to enjoy this. It was just a poorly made platformer with too much randomness involved and poor interface.

The instructions are almost unreadable.

Luckily, the game is easy enough to figure out. It is, after all, a simple jump-rope game. However, it is also that simplicity which makes the game boring to play. Unless I'm missing something. The music loop is also fairly annoying.

Very nice, but still not quite right.

It should be worth noting that when the soldier runs into anything, instead of blocking his path, it explodes (even chainlink fences). Also, anything will go up in flames when shot at, even where it isn't appropriate (again, chainlink fences).

I never liked this game.

This game and all of its countless variations suck for the following reason: they are far too heavily dependant on luck, and not enough on player skill. So unless you can improve on that, don't bother.

This is way too glitchy.

I have acknowledged that you spent 3-4 months on this project. But I'm under the impression that you did not spend enough time trying to fix the bugs, instead opting to make more levels. As a result, the gameplay suffers greatly. You cannot bounce on enemies, jumping and falling through block is a great problem, and the ? blocks are not correctly programmed.
What ultimately makes me believe that this deserves a blam is that, when I attempted to go for the 1-UP over the goombas in world 1-2, I had 4 lives. I got hit, so naturally I should have lost one life. Instead, I lost all 4. That is an awful glitch to keep in your game. Next time, focus less on the stupid graphics and work on the gameplay so it doesn't end up being a piece of crap covered in glitter.

Not a game, but nicely done.

I noticed that you used 3D rendering to make the scenes. Very nicely done. Also, I did something I don't think anybody else would do. I played it twice: once by answering Yes on the first question, and once by choosing No. I noticed that the Yes answer enabled the interactive mode and the No answer enabled watch-only mode. That's a nice option to have, although you may want to label the difference so people will realize the choice that they are making. Overall, nicely done.
