Not bad. Then again, not good.

That would be NOT heavy metal or anything similar, first of all. Secondly, from the author comments, I take it that this was really more practice than a true project. It lacks the soul (and style) of a hit.

In short: WOW us. Amaze us. Make something that shows that you are truly passionate about music making, and not just fooling around.

headcrab responds:

well, my first was actually my best :P im horribleish check out my other tracks, theyre worse... i made chromozonic death after thsi one, i tried to make a guitar solo in it and it screeched. so yah, im gonna have to work on that

I'd like to know...

What kinds of instrument patches and music software do you use to make this kind of stuff? It's awesome.

attemptedperfection responds:

Almost all my electronic music is created with the Buzz tracker, which is free for anyone to download at buzzmachines.com
glad you liked it!

Please do us all a favor.

Don't let us know what's going on in your head anymore, because frankly, it's a bit unsettling and discordant.

Triented responds:

Yes, a blood rush is soo settling man. I won't even tell you how setteling a blood rush is. I mean seriously man, a blood rush is probably the most setteling most cordinate thing i have ever been in in my life. Thanks for pointing out how setteling a blood rush is, you dooshbag.

A bit too digital for my tastes.

The song seems just a bit hollow. You could either use more realistic-sounding instruments or add more tracks to give it a feeling of fullness. Right now, though, it's rather mediocre to listen to. Keep working on it.

koopaclock responds:

i actually feel that its hollow as well. i'm going to buy sytrus when i can, and i am probably just going to do single tracks from now on, cuz i am no good at medleys

Honestly, my ears are bleeding a little.

The opening itself seems out of tune, and the following portion of the song was oddly oriental. I don't know how that happened. All I can say is 1.) Try to get rid of all sour notes before submitting and 2.) Remix more interesting tunes than this. Frankly, Farm Boy from FFVII is a forgettable tune, and it doesn't really deserve a remix.

I found it okay.

It misses out on some of the subtleties of the original song, and there wasn't much remixing from the original except the ending. Nevertheless, it is enjoyable, and I imagine this is only the tip of the iceberg. Just remember to mix things up more next time.

Mediocre.

My main proble with this audio is that the instrument volumes aren't very balanced. Also, even though it seems to "Birth of a God", the end result doesn't really come off too well. Try less synthetic-sounding instruments and it'll probably sound better.

Technically excellent, but...

Everything about the track was awesome, until the synthesized instruments for the actual reproduction of the song came in. The instrument that segued from the verse to the chorus of the Flying Battery theme was nice, but the rest was hard on the ears. It was enough to drop the rating from 5 to 3, unfortunately. But all is not lost. Replace the bad instruments with something better, and you've got a hit. It's that simple.

Very good.

All I ask is that you improve on the song by reproducing not only the Act 1 version of the song, but Act 2 as well, which is more diverse.

Kind of lacking.

It was a little too quiet for me, and too gentle. Plus, to be more accurate, that is the final boss theme, not the death egg theme. The Death Egg theme is the one heard in the corridor before the Metal Sonic showdown.
